It’s been a day of re-arranging the desks here at Urban Element, as we have welcomed two additions to the team. Niki Forecast has permanently swelled the design team’s ranks, and joining the online marketing brigade is Charlie Williams.
After working at Urban Element during the summer of 2011 as an intern, Niki then continued to work with us on a part time role whilst completing her final year at Oxford Brookes. After taking a few months off to focus on her final deadlines, Niki has now returned to Urban Element on a full-time basis in the Web Design department.
Niki’s final dissertation whilst at University was a project to design and build a website for the local independent retailer The Student Car Company, www.used-cars-oxfordshire.co.uk.
Niki also used this opportunity to research the field of search engine optimization in greater detail, and has been able to demonstrate this research by increasing the online presence of the company.
Keen to develop her experience in the design field, Niki is due to start a Masters in Visual Communication at the University of Gloucestershire on a part-time basis starting this September. This will allow her to develop her design capabilities, whilst maintaining the industrial relevance by continuing to work at Urban Element.
Committed content evangelist and search marketing geek, Charlie has worked in online marketing for three years. Specialising in on-page optimisation, content marketing, link building and content strategy, Charlie has helped many websites in a diverse array of niches make more of their sites to increase traffic.

Sadly today also marks Stephanie Bouguet’s last day with us. Stephanie joined us in May and has successfully completed her internship.
We’ll still see her though as she’s staying in Oxford looking to work as a website designer, something that, having seen her close first-hand, we know she’ll be hugely successful at. Thank you for all your hard work Stephanie!
