I have worked with Urban Element on 2 website builds and PPC campaigns. Well organised, professional and a good balance of discussion vs recommendation. Not a pushy agency who always think they know best and trying to get more from you. Collaborative, supportive, understated and good value.

Websites evolve over time especially with clients managing their own content, adding services and products through their Content Management System. Additionally no website is ever 100% perfect so it’s vital that you don’t let your visitors slip through the cracks.
Our approach to conversion rate optimisation involves making website improvements based on real usage data. Through A/B testing, heat mapping, and tracking user behaviour, we are able to gather insightful data that allows us to optimise your website that aligns with your goals and provides greater return on investment.

What they say
Moving your website to a new developer is never a decision to take lightly. One of our main reasons was that traffic to our old website was virtually non existent. Urban Element pride themselves on ensuring the content and SEO are targeted to attract the right customers. This has certainly been the case for us and the numbers of contacts we receive through the website has increased dramatically. The whole process from initial design through to implementation was done on time, on budget and with appropriate support and communication. I would, and do, highly recommend them.

How does web development differ from web design?
Web development is the process of building websites and applications for the internet, or for a private network known as an intranet. Web development is not concerned with the design of a website; rather, it’s all about the coding and programming that powers the website’s functionality.
From the most simple, static web pages to social media platforms and apps, from ecommerce websites to content management systems (CMS); all the tools we use via the internet on a daily basis have been built by web developers.
Web development can be broken down into three layers: client-side coding (frontend), server-side coding (backend) and database technology.
How can UE help my business with web development?
We have almost two decades of web development under our belts and have experience in building all manner of sites, from e-commerce to complex back-end stock control, CRMs and booking systems. Our experience and expertise is both broad and deep. Combined with our technical capabilities is our commercial acumen, meaning you get a functional, high performing site that aligns perfectly with your business goals.
What is the difference between front end and back end web development?
Front end development, or client-side scripting, refers to everything that the end user experiences directly. Front-end code executes in a web browser and directly relates to what people see when they visit a website. Things like layout, fonts, colours, menus and contact forms are all driven by the front end.
Back end development, or server-side scripting is all about what goes on behind the scenes. It is responsible for storing and organising data, and ensuring that everything on the client-side runs smoothly.
How does database technology work?
Websites also rely on database technology. The database contains all the files and content that are necessary for a website to function, storing it in such a way that makes it easy to retrieve, organise, edit and save. The database runs on a server, and most websites typically use some form of relational database management system (RDBMS).
Do I need an e-commerce site?
Maybe! For many businesses, e-commerce is an essential part of their business offering but it really depends on your customers buying behaviours, competitors, search volume and ultimately your potential to be successful in selling online. We assess all of this when we start working with you and make recommendations based on your business rather than try and sell you something you don’t need.
